Moonmachine started off as a loud three piece band from the dusty outskirts of Oslo, Norway. Formed in 2015 by bassplayer, singer and songwriter Espen Lie (Plywood, Bøyen beng, Søsterhjemmet) and drummer Thomas Fredriksen (El Caco).

Thomas Natvig (Søsterhjemmet / PIFFOL) joined in on Guitar in early 2017, and the band started recording in early 2018, and released their debut single "No ease" in 2019, and then several single releases.

In late 2023 they started the making-, and pre-producing songs for the debut album, and the recordings in february 2024. After 14 months in studio, recording and mixing, the band came to realize the need for even more guitars, and in late spring 2025 Skjalg Reithaug (S.O.T, Babel, The allseeing I) joined forces with the band.
